STRONGFELT earrings are developed on pre-fabricated sterling silver hoops. Wool fibers are wrapped around the wire to allow enough airspace for shrinkage in the wet felting process. Surface design may incorporate: fusion with fabric, thread and other non-felting fibers, partial felt patterning, free-motion embroidery and natural dyes. YES indeed, it is meticulous to sew on such a small object and a challenge not to break a needle or two on the wire!
