Category: Clutches

STRONGFELT clutches were at one time made by wet felting wool fibers around an inflatable sphere, cutting a 3-D pattern from the hollow felt form and fulling or sculpting the final form through directional agitation. I now produce them on a 2-D resist template allowing for precision of surface design placement. An internal pocket is placed on the front and backside of the form and an additional flap on the front edge secures the front pockets content, such as loose coins. A button closure is employed with a reinforced hole to resist stretch and abrasion from use rather than magnets as the proximity of magnets and credit cards is not good for sales!
